The echo should disappear if you're experiencing my problem. Right-click on this item and select Properties. You should see the Line In device in the list. Then, the tab will display in a window with the title 'Sound'. To view this 'Line In' properties tab, right-click on the speaker icon in the notification area, then select Recording Devices (yes, "Recording"). It was in the 'Line In' properties settings where I had checked off the option to "Listen to this device." When I disabled that, the echo disappeared. I also found out a second Line In "source". If you want output from the HD Manager, that makes sense. You can open the manager and view the 'Line In' tab - mine had a non-zero playback volume (the slider was NOT all the way to the left for zero playback). The first "source" I found was the HD Audio manager.
I found the problem seems that I was essentially duplicating the Line In audio stream. I had already set the 'environment' and 'equalizer' sound effects options to, but the echo persisted. My Realtek HD Audio manager seemed to be creating an echo on my "Line In" audio signal. My headset is "BENGOO V-4 Gaming Headset for Xbox One, PS4, PC.I just solved my own problem and thought others might benefit, since I could not find the solution using internet search. Do I have to try updating BIOS(current 0232), or figure it out "Realtek High Definition Audio (HDA) Version R2.8x (9132.1) WHQL" driver and "UAD/HDA"? So now I'm stuck, I installed the asus version back and don't know what to do. Of course, the promised "Realtek HD audio manager" is still missing. and that usb 2.0 is back without microphone boost again.
After erasing my audio driver I install that driver. I followed some india guy's video in youtube and it leads me to Staiton Drivers website to download seemly latest driver "Realtek High Definition Audio (HDA) Version R2.8x (9132.1) WHQL". The driver in device manager shows "Realtek USB Audio" It has the microphone boost option which allowed me to boost my input about 20 to 30db, but it came with new issue: I have horrible echo in steam mic test (mic input capture my headset output) and Realtek audio manager was never installed(not in control panel or program file) - I cannot use audio manager to possibly fix the echo issue. The driver in device manager shows "Realtek USB 2.0" or something.Īfter struggle I manage to found the seemly latest driver in motherboard's website, Realtek_Audio_Driver_V.2276_WIN10_64-bit (published on 7). My motherboard is ASUS ROG STRIX z590-e gaming wifi, after I built up my pc I found my headset mic input was really really low, none can hear me, I have to yell to make the bar move in mic test and there was no Microphone boost option in taskbar Sound -> Recording -> Properties -> Levels. I have this new build windows 10 pc with really annoying mic input problem.
